How Super Bowl Squares Works

Purchase Squares: Buy one or more squares on the 10x10 grid for $20.00 each. You can buy as many as you want (while available).
Number Assignment: Once all squares are sold and paid (or 1 hour before kickoff), numbers 0-9 are randomly assigned to each row and column. The rows represent New England Patriotsand columns represent Seattle Seahawks.
Winning: At the end of each quarter, look at the last digit of each team's score. The square at the intersection of those two numbers wins that quarter's prize!

Example: If NE has 17 points and SEA has 14 points at halftime, the winning square is at row 7 (NE's last digit) and column 4 (SEA's last digit).

Add $5.00 per square to participate in bonus prop bets

When purchasing squares, you can add the bonus package for an extra $5.00 per square. This enters you into 5 additional prop bets:

Coin Toss Winner (15%) - Pick which team wins the coin toss
First to Score (20%) - Pick which team scores first
Total Points Over/Under (25%) - Pick over or under the set line
Game Winner (20%) - Pick the game winner
Closest Total Points (20%) - Guess the exact total points

The bonus pool is split among all prop winners based on the percentages above.

Reserved squares are held for 10 minutes during checkout. If payment isn't received within a reasonable time, the admin may release unpaid squares.

Fairness & Transparency

We use a publicly verifiable random number assignment system:

Before assignment, the admin sets a public seed that everyone can see
The server generates a secret seed and publishes its hash (SHA-256)
At assignment time, the secret seed is revealed
The final seed is computed as SHA-256(public_seed + secret_seed)
Numbers are shuffled using a deterministic Fisher-Yates algorithm

You can verify the fairness yourself on the verification page. All significant events are also logged on the public audit log.

Trash Talk Wall

Once you've purchased and paid for at least one square, you gain access to the Trash Talk Wall - a private feed where participants can chat and trash talk each other during the game!
